On November 12, 2020, initiative 65 was approved by Mississippi voters. The initiative established a constitutional amendment for the use of medical marijuana. However, in 2021 the initiative was invalidated by the Mississippi Supreme Court. In 2022, the Mississippi governor signed Senate Bill 2095, making medical marijuana legal immediately. Mississippi Medical Marijuana Sale Restrictions
The regulation of marijuana sales has defined purchase limitations for consumers. Medical patients will be restricted to 6 equivalency units per week. Each unit is equivalent to 3.5 grams of flower, 1 gram of concentrate, or 100mg in an infused product. These limits are also outlined in the Mississippi dispensary SOP.
